Sign up for the second meeting of 10x10! A new workshop hosted by the Documentary Filmmakers Group (DFG) in partnership with Doculink – the U.S./Canada based documentary-makers group and listserve. (http://www.doculink.org)
Here’s how it works: bring up to ten minutes of your work-in-progress and get ten minutes of feedback from the group. It can be anything you’re working on – a trailer, an excerpt, the opening of your film, a key scene etc…
Whether you want to come screen or just be one of the viewers at the event, it’s a great opportunity to gain support, get crucial feedback, meet your peers and feel part of the independent London doc community. It’s also a rare chance to see what others are working on and gain a hands-on perspective of what works, what doesn’t and why.
Come along whether you have something you want to screen or not – you’ll get to hear points-of-view you’d otherwise not come into contact with that could widen your approach to your work. We’ll be continuing the conversation down the pub after the session.
The 10x10 format was created by Doculink, and has been running since 2005 in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Vancouver, BC. In the UK, we're onto the 'difficult' second event. If it’s going to work then we need YOU, the London doc community to get involved!
Participation is free and on a first-come-first-served basis. Send us a line now at 10x10@dfgdocs.com to ensure getting on the list to screen and to give us an idea of numbers. Space is limited.
When – 1st August, 7.30pm
Where – DFG, Dalston, London. Click here for location details: http://www.dfgdocs.com/Contact/index.aspx
