Register free with Film UK - Additional Promotion for your Film
If your film is a British production completed between 31 July 2007 and 31 May 2008, and is live action, fiction short or feature, then please register with Film UK when you submit your film. Yes, this means completing an additional form but it's a FREE promotional opportunity for your film. The keystones of Film UK are The Guide to British Film, a directory of all the fiction films made in the UK in the last 12 months, and during the Festival, the Film UK section of the Videotheque where as many of the films in the Guide as we can get our hands on are available to view on VHS or DVD.

SLEEPLESS IN PECKHAM
The South East London Film Collective 48 Hour Film Project
One weekend. One Location. One screenplay. Three films.
Three groups of South East London Film Collective filmmakers will shoot three short films in just 48 hours!
The films, interpreted from one script written by the SELF Collective writer's guild, will be shot and edited at BarStory and The Sassoon Gallery in Peckham between 4pm on Friday 25th and 4pm on Sunday 27th January.
At 7pm on the Sunday evening, the event will culminate with the screening of the finished films followed by an after-party with live music, a bar and bonfire in the Sassoon Gallery.
Established last November, the SELF Collective supports local low-to-no-budget film productions in the spirit of collaboration, cooperation and self-sufficiency.
This event aims to bring together an emerging network of filmmakers from all backgrounds and levels of experience to work creatively together.
Those interested in joining the collective are encouraged to come and see us in action throughout the weekend, and meet us in an informal setting at the screening and after-party on Sunday.
More information can be found at www.selfcollective.

B3 ‘supercharges’ revolutionary feature film development project for Film4
B3 seeks to redefine the notion of ‘British Cinema’ and is looking for the next distinctive British feature film.
So we’ve created a partnership between B3 Media, Film4, the Binger Filmlab and Skillset. We aim to fast forward the filmmaking process for people who are ready to make the leap to a full-length feature film for commercial release. Not everyone will get that far but we’ll help you give it your best shot.
We’re particularly interested in writers, directors or writer/director teams, from black and minority ethnic backgrounds currently under-represented in film and TV. We’re also looking for talent from radio, TV, theatre and visual arts. If you understand the building blocks of drama and narrative and have something different to say, then we want to hear from you.
If you submit your idea, we’ll choose the ones to get hands-on support from some of the best film professionals around. Whether it’s script development, production, marketing or distribution, we’ll be covering all aspects of getting a feature film from idea to TV or the big screen.
For further information check out our website: www.b3media.net
But you’ll need to be quick. The deadline for applications is Monday 4 February 2008.
